Episode 107- Shop talk and glass chit-chat with Paul Daknowwonka
The Flow's Fall 2016: Collaborative Glass Art
Artists working with other artists on a joint project can be inspiring, challenging, and very rewarding. It can provide a fresh approach and new ideas that often lead to an outcome that is unlike what you could have made just by yourself. Working as a group also forces you to sketch and plan your design more than most of us do when working solo. This can also aid in the construction of the finished piece if it is a complicated design. Working with an artist from other media (such as a metal artist, woodworker, painter, welder) can be exciting and bring an entirely new perspective & a synergic combining of skills. With your submission please include your sketch (scanned or just snap a high-resolution photo), a little about your planning, a short description of the medium used, and the names & e-mail addresses of everyone who participates in the project.
Gallery entries, general interest
stories, heath, safetyor technical articles, as well as any
tutorials are welcomed. Any skill level (beginner, intermediate,
and advanced)
submissions are accepted (beads, sculpture, marbles, paperweights,
vessels, mixed media, etc.).
Deadline: June 1, 2016 Release Date: September 19,
