In this episode I discuss the topic of proper body mechanics and potential lower back injuries that can be caused from this topic.

Think about how your bench is built.

-Are you constantly looking down or feeling like your bending over your torch?

- Do you sir or stand or do both ?

- Is your torch mounted at the correct height for the best posture.

- Do you stretch, take breaks, and stay hydrated by consuming an adequate amount of water?

Check the reference links below for more on this topic. Plus I'll be posting my first video on the YouTube channel showing some good stretching techniques recommended by my massage therapist.

    Glass Art magazine
    March 1989 – Present (27 years 11 months)
Editor Shawn Waggoner’s respect for and understanding of the artists featured on Glass Art's pages is the cornerstone of the publication's reputation and success. Over the course of two decades she transformed what was once a small hobbyist trade publication into an art magazine featuring the world's most well respected artists and experts in the field of glass.

Through knowledgeable, genre-specific writing and knowing when to rely upon her team of freelancers, Waggoner created content that was both informative and trustworthy. Artists and industry alike look to Glass Art to find out about cutting-edge artists and techniques, industry pioneers and what's new in the glass arts. Waggoner was responsible for designing all layouts of the editorial copy and selecting the cover shot, relying upon high-quality, four-color photography to tell the story of the artists and processes featured on Glass Art's pages. She also proofreads and edits all content.

Waggoner travels frequently to trade shows and conferences to promote the magazine and talk face to face with readers, advertisers, artists and manufacturers of glass related products. In 2013 she was a judge at the Glass Craft and Bead Expo Gallery of Excellence. The combination of her managing, editing, writing, designing and proofing skills along with her talents in photography, social media, and Internet applications have been valuable assets to Glass Art. Her enthusiasm and desire to produce the best product possible is evidenced in each issue of the magazine, its identity established through Waggoner's strong leadership and vision.
